Free Consultation for Small Business Owners
Book a time to talk through your books, payroll and sales tax, or an IRS or state notice. Bring recent statements and returns if you have them. Messy books are fine; that is what we sort out together, in plain language.
What to Expect
What happens during a free consultation with Esti?
The consultation is free, and there is no obligation to hire us afterward. You spend the time with Esti, an Enrolled Agent, going over where your business stands today: what your books look like, how payroll and sales tax are being handled, which returns are filed, and which ones are not. The conversation happens on Zoom, since the practice works remotely with small business owners across the United States. Appointments are available on weekday evenings from 6 PM and any time on Saturday or Sunday.
The call fits small business owners who want to understand their numbers month by month instead of hearing about them the following spring. That includes S-corporation owners, partners, and sole proprietors filing individual returns. If someone currently prepares your return once a year and your questions between January and December go unanswered, this is a reasonable place to start.
Bring your books in whatever condition they are in. Messy records are common, and cleaning them up is part of the work rather than a reason to put off the conversation. The same goes for unfiled returns. If several years are outstanding, Esti will walk through what needs to be filed, in what order, and what the catch-up involves, so you leave with a plan instead of a vague worry.
If an IRS or state notice prompted your call, do not ignore it. Notices carry deadlines, and the right response depends on what the letter actually says. Read it with Esti during the consultation. As an Enrolled Agent, she holds federal representation rights and can step in and speak with the IRS on your behalf where that authority applies. She will explain what the notice is asking for and what your options look like.
Questions get answered in ordinary words. If a term like accrual, reconciliation, or reasonable compensation comes up, Esti explains what it means for your business rather than moving past it. The monthly work runs the same way. A P&L handed over without explanation is not much use to the person who has to make decisions from it.
Nothing has to be decided on the call. You will hear what monthly accounting would cover for a business your size: bank, credit card, sales, and payroll reconciliation, a month-end close, and a walk-through of the financial statements. An introductory rate is currently available to a limited number of small business owners signing up for monthly accounting, so ask about it while it lasts.

Your First Conversation
What do we cover in the free consultation?
We start with where your business stands today: your books, your payroll and sales tax filings, the returns you need to file, and any notice you've received. Bring what you have. Nothing needs to be tidy first.
-
Where your books stand today
We look at what you already have: bank and credit card activity, sales records, payroll data. If months are missing or categories are a mess, say so on the call. That's the starting point for month-end accounting, not a reason to put the conversation off.
-
Which returns you need to file
We go over the returns that apply to you: S-corporation, partnership, or individual. If prior years went unfiled, we talk through what's outstanding and the order to handle it in, so you leave the call knowing what the next step is.
-
How payroll and sales tax are filed
We review how your payroll taxes and sales tax are being filed and paid right now, and on what schedule. These are the filings that quietly fall behind, so it helps to look at them early rather than at year-end.
-
An IRS or state notice you received
Read it with us instead of setting it aside. Esti is an Enrolled Agent with federal representation rights and can step in where EA authority applies. Notices carry response deadlines, so bring yours to the first appointment.
-
How the monthly work would run
A month-end close takes roughly 5 to 10 hours of work and ends with a walkthrough of your numbers in ordinary words. Budgeting and forecasting are not included. We'll also cover the introductory rate open to a limited number of new monthly clients.
How It Works
How does the free consultation work?
Three steps: you reach out, we talk through your books and tax situation, and you decide whether monthly work with Esti makes sense. Consultations happen on Zoom, on weekday evenings from 6 PM or any time on Saturday or Sunday.
-
01. Reach out and pick a time
Call 1(917)623-4217 or email esti@eenaccountingandtaxresolutionllc.com to schedule a Zoom time that fits your week, on a weekday evening from 6 PM or any time on Saturday or Sunday. Tell us what prompted the call: books that have fallen behind, payroll or sales tax questions, returns that were never filed, or a notice from the IRS or your state. Nothing needs to be organized first.
-
02. Talk through your numbers with Esti
On the call, Esti reviews where your business stands right now: what you earned, what you spent, what you owe, and what cash is available. If you received an IRS or state notice, we read it together and explain what it is asking for. Questions get answered in ordinary words, not accounting language. You leave the call understanding your situation.
-
03. Get a plan, then decide
You receive a clear outline of the work involved: month-end closes and reconciliations, payroll and sales tax filings, S-corporation, partnership or individual returns, and Enrolled Agent representation where that authority applies. An introductory rate is available for a limited number of small-business clients starting monthly accounting. Take the plan and decide on your own timeline.
Consultation FAQ
Questions about the free consultation
What the first conversation covers, how it happens, what to bring, and what you get afterward. If your question isn't here, call or email and Esti will answer it in ordinary words.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. The first conversation is free and there's no obligation to sign up for anything. You can ask about bookkeeping, payroll or sales tax, an S-corp, partnership or individual return, or a letter that showed up in the mail, and decide afterward whether monthly work makes sense for you.
How does the meeting happen?
On Zoom, anywhere in the United States. Appointments are currently available on weekday evenings from 6 PM and any time on Saturday or Sunday, set around your time zone. Screen sharing means we can look at your statements or a notice together during the call.
What should I have ready?
Whatever you already have. Useful items are recent bank and credit card statements, your last filed return, payroll and sales tax filings, and any IRS or state notice. If your books are behind or messy, bring them as they are. That's common, and sorting it out is part of the work.
What if I received an IRS or state notice?
Bring it to the appointment instead of setting it aside. Esti is an Enrolled Agent, an IRS-authorized tax professional with federal representation rights, and she'll read the notice with you, explain what it's asking for and by when, and go over the options available in your situation.
What happens after the consultation?
You leave with a plain-language picture of where you stand and what comes next: months that need catching up, returns that need filing, deadlines ahead. If you want to move forward, we agree on the scope and a start date. A special introductory rate is available for a limited number of monthly accounting clients.
How do I book a time?
Call 1(917)623-4217 or email esti@eenaccountingandtaxresolutionllc.com to schedule your appointment. It helps to say how your business is set up (S-corp, partnership or individual) and whether any returns are unfiled, so the conversation starts in the right place.
